FAQ about this model
How much can this hoist lift?
It is rated for 2 tons, or 4,000 lbs. That rating applies to the hoist and trolley as supplied and is the maximum working load, not a peak or occasional figure. Weigh your heaviest intended load, including any slings, spreader bars or fixtures, before ordering. If your normal lifts sit close to 4,000 lbs, choose a larger capacity rather than running at the limit.
What power supply do I need?
It requires three-phase power at 460V or 230V. Single-phase service will not run this hoist, so confirm you have three-phase available at the installation point in one of those two voltages before ordering. The specifications do not list amperage draw or a plug type, so have a licensed electrician determine circuit sizing, disconnect and wiring for your installation.
What does dual speed mean in practice?
Dual speed means you can select between two lifting and lowering speeds instead of one. The faster speed moves the load through open travel, and the slower speed gives finer control when landing a load, spotting it into a fixture or working near people and equipment. The specifications do not state the actual feet-per-minute figures for either speed.
Is the trolley included, and will it fit my beam?
Yes, the trolley is included; this is a hoist and trolley combination rather than a hoist alone. The trolley allows the hoist to travel along a beam instead of hanging from a single fixed point. The specifications here do not state a beam flange width range or mounting method, so confirm trolley fitment against your specific beam before purchase.
What operating conditions is it built for?
It is rated for ambient temperatures from -4°F to +104°F. That range covers most unheated warehouses, loading docks and outdoor work in moderate climates, but excludes freezer storage and hot process areas outside those limits. The body is die-cast aluminum. The specifications say nothing about washdown, heavy dust or hazardous atmospheres, so do not assume it is suitable for those settings.
How does the brake work, and what warranty comes with it?
Braking is handled by a pull-rotor motor design, where the rotor shifts as the motor energizes and releases a friction brake, so the brake sets automatically whenever the control is released or power is lost. The unit carries a 12-month warranty. Routine inspection should include checking that the brake holds a rated load without drift.
