What is the lifting capacity, and does it change with span or hub height?
Every H-Series model listed here is rated at 5 tons, regardless of hub height or span. The H10108 with an 8 ft span and the H102020 with a 20 ft span carry the same rating. Select the model by the reach and headroom your work area needs, then confirm the rating on the unit's own nameplate before putting it into service.
Which hub heights and spans are available?
Hub heights are 10 ft, 12 ft, 14 ft, 16 ft, 18 ft and 20 ft, with spans from 8 ft to 20 ft in even increments. The 8 ft span is offered only with the 10 ft, 12 ft and 14 ft hub heights; taller columns start at a 10 ft span. The model number encodes both, so H101614 is a 16 ft hub height with a 14 ft span.
How much does the crane weigh, and what does that mean for my floor?
Weights range from 3,905 lbs for the H10108 to 8,539 lbs for the H102020. Weight rises with both span and height: the H101020 is 6,962 lbs while the H101010 is 4,041 lbs. Use the figure for your exact model when planning the foundation, the offloading equipment at delivery, and the rigging needed to set the column.
What is included with the crane?
The published specifications cover model number, hub height, span and weight only. They do not list a hoist, trolley, motor, control package or rotation type, so do not assume any of those are supplied. Confirm exactly what ships, and any electrical requirements, before ordering. Foundation bolts and concrete work are a separate site responsibility.
Who is this crane a good fit for, and who should look at something else?
It suits a fixed workstation with a floor that can take an engineered foundation, since it is floor mounted rather than wall or column mounted. It is a poor fit if your lifting point moves around the building, or if the slab cannot be modified. Match span to the radius you must cover and hub height to your available headroom.
Why does the price vary between models?
Pricing starts at $14,224 and increases with span and hub height, because both add structural steel and weight. Decide the configuration before comparing prices: hub height for headroom under the boom, span for reach. The gap between the lightest H10108 and the heaviest H102020 is substantial, so quote the specific model you intend to install.
