What is the rated capacity of this trolley?
1 ton, or 2000 lbs. That is the rated capacity of model PT010-ATP, and it has to cover everything the trolley carries — the hoist, the rigging or chain, and the load itself, not the load alone. Add those together before you decide it fits, and avoid working right at the 2000 lb limit.
How does it fit my beam, and do I need spacers?
No spacers are required — the trolley is self-adjusting. Width is set with a threaded shaft and an integrated Allen bit setting, so you adjust it with a standard Allen bit and can speed the job up with a drill. It is designed to accommodate wider beam flanges, so confirm your beam's flange width and profile against the trolley before you order.
Does it need electrical power or compressed air?
No, it needs no power supply of any kind. This is a manual push trolley: you move the load by pushing it along the beam by hand, and smooth-rolling wheels carry the horizontal travel. That makes it workable in bays with no power drop, and a reasonable choice for occasional positioning or short moves along a beam.
Why does the low-headroom design matter?
It preserves lift height in buildings with tight clearance. The trolley is engineered for best-in-class minimum headroom, meaning the vertical space consumed between the beam and the hoist's hook is kept as small as possible. Where your ceiling or beam height is fixed, less space lost to the trolley is more usable height for the hoist and the load.
What safety features does it have?
It uses drop-protect side plates, which are there to keep the trolley captive on the beam and secure the load if the assembly is disturbed. The product is also listed as compliant with ASME B30.11, the ASME standard covering underhung equipment travelling on a monorail or beam. Normal rigging practice still applies: inspect before use and stay within the rated capacity.
