FAQ about this model
How much can the EK20GT-LI lift, and at what load center?
It is rated for 4,000 lbs at a 24 in load center. If your load's center of gravity sits farther than 24 in from the fork face, usable capacity drops, so check pallet depth and how the load sits on the forks before ordering. The truck's own service weight is 7,594 lbs, which matters for floor ratings, mezzanines and trailer transport.
How high does it lift, and what is the lowered height?
Maximum lift height is 185 in, with a lowered mast height of 83 in and 43.7 in of free lift. The 83 in lowered height is the figure to check against doorways, trailer openings and low ceilings when travelling. Free lift means the forks rise 43.7 in before the mast starts to extend, which helps when stacking inside a trailer.
What aisle width and space does it need?
Overall width is 45.2 in, minimum outside turning radius is 86.2 in, and the wheelbase is 63.7 in. Length is 138.9 in with forks and 96.8 in without forks. Use the turning radius together with the body length when checking your aisles, and add the length of your own load when estimating right-angle stacking aisle.
What powers it, and what do I need to run it?
It runs on an 80V/205Ah lithium battery with an InMotion® controller. There is no engine and no fuel handling, and no watering routine as with lead-acid batteries. The specifications do not list charger type, charge time or run time per charge, so confirm those details and your available electrical supply before you commit to installation.
What surfaces is it suitable for?
It has solid pneumatic tires and 4.3 in of ground clearance at the mast. That combination suits smooth indoor concrete and reasonably maintained yard surfaces. Broken pavement, deep gravel and sharp ramp transitions are not a good match for this truck given the low clearance. Travel speed is 9.3 mph both laden and unladen.
How is it operated, and what handling features are included?
It is a seated four-wheel truck with a hydraulic foot pedal service brake, Cascade® side shift, and 6° of forward and 6° of backward mast tilt. Side shift lets the operator line the forks up with a pallet without repositioning the truck. Operators of powered industrial trucks must be trained and evaluated under OSHA's requirements before use.
