Product Overview
In short
The Loflin Fabrication Low Profile Skid Steer Bucket is designed for land clearing and material handling in low-clearance spaces like under sheds or trailers. Built with 3/16" steel sides/bottom, 3/16" wear bars, and a 1/2" x 4" cutting edge, it's available in 36"-48" widths with a reinforced quick-attach mount for secure, versatile use.

Loflin Fabrication Skid Steer Standard Duty Low Profile Bucket

Conquer a wide range of low-clearance tasks, from land clearing to material handling, with the Loflin Fabrication Low Profile Skid Steer Bucket. This American-made attachment is engineered to deliver powerful performance, durability, and versatility, especially when working under sheds, trailers, or confined spaces with limited overhead clearance.

The low-profile design provides a distinct advantage when working in confined spaces, allowing for easy operation in areas with low overhead clearance, such as under sheds or during loading and unloading tasks. The strategically designed bucket allows dirt and small debris to fall through, reducing load weight and making material sorting more efficient.

Key Features:

  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Crafted with 3/16" thick steel sides and bottom, this bucket is built to withstand tough tasks and provide long-lasting performance.
  • Enhanced Wear Resistance: 3/16" thick wear bars on the bucket bottom provide additional protection against damage and reduce the need for frequent repairs.
  • Superior Cutting Edge: The 1/2" thick x 4" wide cutting edge is designed for extended service life, ensuring durability and reliability across multiple uses.
  • Multiple Size Options: Choose from sizes ranging from 36" to 48" to perfectly fit your skid steer loader and accommodate your workspace needs.
  • Optional Bolt-On Edge: For models with bolt-on edges, this feature enhances the cutting edge's lifespan and reduces maintenance costs (availability may vary).
  • Universal Mounting: Features a reinforced quick-attach system compatible with universal skid steer mounts for easy attachment and use.

FAQ about this model

What sizes does this bucket come in?

The working width range is 36" to 48". Pick the width against your machine and your work: a bucket close to your skid steer's tire or track width keeps the wheels out of the fresh cut, while a wider one clears more ground per pass. Each unit is built to one width, so confirm the size you need before ordering.

Will it fit my skid steer?

It uses a reinforced quick-attach system cut to the universal skid steer pattern, so it mounts on machines with a standard universal quick-attach plate. The product data does not list fitment by make or model, so match your machine's attachment plate to the universal pattern before ordering rather than assuming it fits from the machine brand alone.

How thick is the steel?

Sides and bottom are 3/16" steel and the wear bar is also 3/16". The cutting edge is 1/2" thick by 4" wide. That is a standard-duty build: enough material for loose material handling and general loading, with the heaviest section placed at the ground line where abrasion happens first. The bucket is steel and American-made.

Is a bolt-on cutting edge included?

No. A bolt-on edge is listed as optional and availability may vary. As built, the bucket's working edge is the 1/2" thick by 4" wide cutting edge. A bolt-on edge is a replaceable wear strip that bolts over that edge so the ground-contact surface can be renewed later instead of rebuilding the bucket. Confirm availability when you order.

What is a low profile bucket good for, and what is it not for?

A low profile bucket has a shallower back and lower sides, which gives you a clearer view of the cutting edge from the cab. That helps when grading, backdragging, and spotting a load. Standard duty construction suits dirt, gravel, sand, mulch, and snow. It is not built for rock, demolition debris, or prying, where a heavier bucket is the right choice.

What maintenance does it need?

Mainly edge and mount checks. Inspect the 1/2" cutting edge and the 3/16" wear bar for uneven wear or gouging, and rotate work off a badly worn corner rather than digging through it. Keep the quick-attach plate and locking pins clear of packed material so the pins seat fully, and look over the corner and gusset welds periodically.
