The IMER HSM 12-1130122 Horizontal Shaft Mortar Mixer has a large, 12-cu ft steel drum that allows you to easily handle 3.5–4 “bags” of mortar, stucco, or grout with each batch. It’s designed to be rugged, allowing for quiet, efficient and reliable operation on your busy job sites. In addition to its large drum size and quiet operation, this mixer is also towable so it can be taken wherever it's needed. Towability is achieved through the inclusion of forklift pockets to position the unit quickly and accurately as well as heavy-duty wheels and towing hitches to make transporting easier. The HSM 12 is available with either a 1.5 hp electric motor or a Honda GX-390 gas engine to give you the choice of which type of power is best for your needs. Overall, the HSM 12 provides an excellent combination of reliability, mobility and performance for the professional construction and masonry industries.

How much can the IMER HSM 12 mix in one batch?

The drum holds 12 cu ft and takes 3.5-4 bags per batch. That is a working batch size for most masonry, plaster and stucco crews mixing on site. If your pours regularly call for more than 3.5-4 bags at a time, this drum will not cover it and you should size up rather than run back-to-back batches.

What are the power options, and what electrical supply does the motor need?

You can run it on a Honda GX-390 11.7 hp gas engine or a 1.5 hp Leeson electric motor rated 120V. Gas suits open sites with no power on hand; the 120V electric motor suits enclosed or indoor work where exhaust is a problem. Confirm the circuit you plan to use can carry the motor before plugging in.

What are the dimensions, and will it fit through a gate or into my storage bay?

It measures 56.5" H x 45" W x 84" L, or 104.5" long with the tow bar. Check the 45" width first, since that is the tightest dimension for gates, doorways and trailer decks. The tow bar adds length only, so height and width are unchanged whether or not it is fitted.

It weighs 1200 lbs and tows on B78 x 13" tires. That figure is the empty unit, before any material is loaded, so match your tow vehicle and hitch to at least that weight.
