FAQ about this model
What sizes does this bucket come in?
The working width range is 36" to 48". Pick the width against your machine and your work: a bucket close to your skid steer's tire or track width keeps the wheels out of the fresh cut, while a wider one clears more ground per pass. Each unit is built to one width, so confirm the size you need before ordering.
Will it fit my skid steer?
It uses a reinforced quick-attach system cut to the universal skid steer pattern, so it mounts on machines with a standard universal quick-attach plate. The product data does not list fitment by make or model, so match your machine's attachment plate to the universal pattern before ordering rather than assuming it fits from the machine brand alone.
How thick is the steel?
Sides and bottom are 3/16" steel and the wear bar is also 3/16". The cutting edge is 1/2" thick by 4" wide. That is a standard-duty build: enough material for loose material handling and general loading, with the heaviest section placed at the ground line where abrasion happens first. The bucket is steel and American-made.
Is a bolt-on cutting edge included?
No. A bolt-on edge is listed as optional and availability may vary. As built, the bucket's working edge is the 1/2" thick by 4" wide cutting edge. A bolt-on edge is a replaceable wear strip that bolts over that edge so the ground-contact surface can be renewed later instead of rebuilding the bucket. Confirm availability when you order.
What is a low profile bucket good for, and what is it not for?
A low profile bucket has a shallower back and lower sides, which gives you a clearer view of the cutting edge from the cab. That helps when grading, backdragging, and spotting a load. Standard duty construction suits dirt, gravel, sand, mulch, and snow. It is not built for rock, demolition debris, or prying, where a heavier bucket is the right choice.
What maintenance does it need?
Mainly edge and mount checks. Inspect the 1/2" cutting edge and the 3/16" wear bar for uneven wear or gouging, and rotate work off a badly worn corner rather than digging through it. Keep the quick-attach plate and locking pins clear of packed material so the pins seat fully, and look over the corner and gusset welds periodically.
