FAQ about this model
How much weight can this lift, and does the glass sucker have its own limit?
Maximum lift capacity is 309 lbs (140 kg), while the Glass Sucker attachment itself is rated at 264 lbs (120 kg). Check your panel weight against the 264 lbs figure whenever you are lifting by suction, since that is the governing limit for that attachment. The 309 lbs number is the overall maximum for the hand truck across the supplied attachments.
How high does it lift?
Maximum lift height is 2000 mm (6 ft 5 in). Measure the destination — racking shelf, vehicle bed, window opening — against that figure before ordering, and account for the height of the load itself on top of the lift point. Height and capacity are separate limits, and both have to be satisfied for a given job.
What attachments are included?
Four attachments come with the PHT2-GS-00: the Glass Sucker, a Sling, a Forklift attachment, and a Strap Frame. Between them the unit covers flat glazed panels, soft or irregular loads, palletized items, and bundled goods. The specifications list no other accessories, so treat those four as the complete set supplied with the unit.
How does the glass sucker hold a panel?
It grips with heavy-duty suction cup technology, so the load face has to be smooth and clean enough for the cup to seal. Flat glass is the intended application. Rough, porous, perforated or heavily textured surfaces will not seal reliably, and those loads are better handled with the Sling or Strap Frame attachment supplied with the unit.
Who is this suited to?
It is aimed at warehouses, workshops, depots and rental yards — sites where flat panels and awkward loads are moved regularly. The steel body and quick mounting system suit shared or rental use, where several operators swap attachments through the day. If you only ever handle one type of load, much of the four-attachment set may go unused.
How do you change attachments and look after it?
Attachments change over using the quick and easy mounting system, so the Glass Sucker, Sling, Forklift and Strap Frame can be swapped as the job changes. The body is steel. Routine care is what suction equipment normally needs: keep the cup face clean and inspect it for nicks or debris, since damage to the sealing face is what stops it holding.
