What sizes are available?
Six ladder heights are offered: 60, 72, 84, 96, 108 and 120 inches. Each height comes in two versions, a standard folding model and a PSO model with powered storage, for 12 models in total. The model number carries the height, so LAD-FM-96 is the 96-inch standard ladder and LAD-FM-96-PSO is its powered equivalent.
What is the difference between the standard models and the PSO models?
PSO models add powered storage that operates on 115VAC, while the standard models are raised and lowered by hand. Otherwise the two share the same folding, face-mounted design and the same six heights. The power option carries a higher price at every height: LAD-FM-60 lists at $1,391.49 and LAD-FM-60-PSO at $2,110.40.
Do these ladders require an electrical supply?
Only the PSO models do, and they operate on 115VAC. The standard folding models, LAD-FM-60 through LAD-FM-120, have no powered components and need no outlet or wiring at the mezzanine edge. If a 115VAC circuit is not available where the ladder mounts, or you want to avoid electrical work, choose a standard model.
How is the ladder stored when it is not in use?
It folds up against the face of the mezzanine. These are face-mounted, retractable ladders: the unit attaches at the mezzanine edge and folds out of the way between uses, so the floor area underneath stays clear for traffic or storage. On PSO models that raising and lowering is powered instead of manual.
What do these ladders cost?
Prices run from $1,391.49 to $2,714.60 across the 12 models. The low end is LAD-FM-60, the 60-inch standard folding ladder; the high end is LAD-FM-120-PSO, the 120-inch model with 115VAC powered storage. Cost rises with height and again with the power option, so LAD-FM-108 is $1,923.03 and LAD-FM-108-PSO is $2,593.69.
Where are they made and what warranty applies?
They are made in the USA by Vestil Manufacturing and carry a 1-Year Limited warranty. Both the standard folding models and the 115VAC PSO models are listed under the same coverage.
