The term heavy equipment accessories gets used for three different things, and buyers shopping construction equipment accessories usually need all three at some point. First, work tools that change a machine's function: forks, clamps, rotators, poles and hitches. Second, handling and rigging gear that supports the load rather than the machine — lifting beams, plates, slings and drum handling equipment. Third, consumables and spares that keep an existing machine running: hoses, reducers, buckets, cylinders and fasteners. This collection spans all three, which is why the price band is as wide as it is. Matching Heavy Equipment Add-Ons to the Machine

Most returns in this category come down to a mounting mismatch, not a quality problem. Before ordering any heavy equipment add-ons, write down three things: the mount or carriage interface, the machine's rated capacity and load center, and the hydraulic or electrical supply the accessory needs. Capacity, Ratings and the Rules That Apply

Adding an accessory almost always costs you capacity. OSHA 1910.184 requires that slings be inspected each day or shift and removed from service when damaged; in construction, OSHA 1926.251 addresses rigging equipment for material handling. It only helps on horizontal work — slabs, asphalt, tile beds — and it has to be matched to the breaker's weight and shank. Buying the attachment but not the spares, then losing days waiting on a bolt kit, a cylinder or a hose fitting. And skipping the training and inspection side entirely, which is both a compliance exposure and the reason attachments get used outside their rating.
