What is the difference between a self-dump hopper and a standard hopper?

A self-dump hopper releases its load with a trip lever the operator pulls from the forklift seat, then automatically returns and latches upright. A standard heavy-duty hopper is tipped manually or by other means. Self-dump models speed up repetitive waste handling and keep the operator on the truck.

How much weight can these hoppers hold?

Capacity depends on the model. Apex Hoppers range from 4,000 lbs on the 0.25 and 0.5 cubic yard units up to 8,000 lbs on larger 2.5 through 5 cubic yard hoppers. The crane dumping bucket is also rated to 8,000 lbs. Every listing shows a verified spec table.

Will a forklift hopper fit my forklift?
