A skid steer bucket is a front-mounted attachment for digging, scooping, grading, and hauling material with your loader's universal quick-attach plate. Styles range from smooth low-profile and rock buckets to grapple, concrete placement, and 4-in-1 combo designs, each tuned to a specific material and task.
Match the bucket to what you move. Low-profile and standard buckets handle dirt, gravel, and general loading; rock buckets and root grapples sift debris while retaining rock and stumps; manure and litter buckets suit agricultural cleanout; concrete and placement buckets pour and spread mix precisely.
Choose a grapple bucket when you're clearing brush, roots, rock, or demolition debris that must be held down during transport. Solid buckets — low-profile, extreme-duty, or concrete — win for scooping loose material, grading, and pouring, where a smooth floor and full retention matter more than gripping.
Heavy-duty and extreme-duty buckets use thicker steel, reinforced edges, and stronger mounts for abrasive rock, demolition, and high-cycle work. Standard-duty and low-profile buckets weigh less and cost less for lighter loading. Demolition-grade grapples sit at the top for the toughest concrete and root removal.
