How to Choose an Electric Pallet Truck

What is an electric pallet truck?

An electric pallet truck is a powered pallet jack that uses a battery-driven motor to move and lift loads, instead of the manual pump-and-pull of a hand truck. Walkie models are steered on foot by a tiller; rider models add a platform so the operator travels with the load over longer distances.

Walkie or rider — which do you need?

Choose a walkie model for docks, tight aisles, and shorter runs where the operator walks alongside. Step up to a rider or center-controlled truck for long horizontal hauls and high pallet counts, where standing on a platform cuts travel time and fatigue across a full shift. Vovlift stocks both classes.

What capacity should you buy?
